PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), is a delayed or prolonged severe response to an exceptionally stressful situation or event, which result in altered neuro-chemical changes involved in the stress response at the highest level of the brain … the Limbic System.
Clinical features may include: flashbacks, insomnia, recurrent nightmares and intrusive thoughts, emptiness, intense anxiety, fear, horror, detachment from the world, enhanced startled reactions, sadness, depression, and would have been present for over a month.
Whilst medication can help ease the initial severe symptoms there have been positive results using:
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
- NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
- Time Line Therapy
- PNI (Psychoneuroimmunology)
All of the above methods are extremely powerful, gentle and effective techniques allowing the clients, (whilst still remembering the event), to release the negative charge associated with it, and then releasing it, within a safe setting.
